The fonts that make it look real

The most important factor in making a handwriting generator convincing is the typeface. This tool uses four Google Fonts specifically selected for their natural pen-stroke characteristics:
FontStyleBest for
CaveatCasual, slightly irregular baselinePersonal notes, to-do lists
KalamNeat, legible cursiveStudy notes, assignments
Permanent MarkerBold felt-tip strokeHeadlines, emphasis
Dancing ScriptFormal calligraphic cursiveLetters, greetings

All four fonts include the natural baseline variation and stroke-width modulation that distinguishes handwriting from mechanical type.

How to customise your note

Ink colour options:

    1. Blue ballpoint (#1a237e) — the most common pen colour for notes
    2. Black gel (#111827) — formal, high-contrast
    3. Pencil grey (#6b7280) — soft, sketch-like appearance
Paper background options:
    1. Blank white — clean, minimal
    2. Ruled (8mm line spacing) — standard notebook look
    3. Graph paper (5mm grid) — great for structured content
Export resolution: The PNG is rendered at 2× pixel density (retina-quality), so printed output stays sharp even at A4 size.

FAQs about Text → Handwriting

Everything you might be wondering — answered.

Which fonts are available?+
Four Google Fonts: Caveat (casual and slightly irregular — most popular for notes), Kalam (neat and legible cursive), Permanent Marker (bold felt-tip style), and Dancing Script (formal calligraphic cursive). All four are loaded from Google Fonts and rendered to Canvas.
Can I change the ink colour?+
Yes. Choose from blue ballpoint (#1a237e), black gel (#111827), or pencil grey (#6b7280). The selected colour is applied as the Canvas fill colour when rendering each character.
What paper backgrounds are available?+
Three options: blank white, standard ruled (8mm line spacing), and graph paper (5mm grid). The background is drawn programmatically on Canvas before the text layer is rendered.
What resolution is the output image?+
The output PNG is rendered at 2× pixel density (retina-quality) to ensure text is crisp when printed or viewed on high-DPI screens.
